CONTRIBUTIONS RECEIVED THROUGH TOMORROW STILL COUNT!

Today is your last chances to help fund next year’s ESC teachers.  If you haven’t already contributed to our Annual Campaign, please take this opportunity to do so.  We are within reach of matching last year’s contribution total but need everyone’s participation in order to meet our goal.

WE STILL NEED $123,000 BY MAY 7TH TO KEEP OUR ESC PROGRAM INTACT!

Thank you to all those parents that have helped make the final weeks of our Annual Campaign so successful.  In the past 10 days alone, we have received $195,210 in contributions from parents who want to help maintain our current ESC program.  

 As of today, our total contributions from this year’s campaign sit at $1,156,488.  An additional $123,000 is still needed by May 7th to match last year’s total of $1.28 million.  If the gap is not closed further, we are looking at 1.5 fewer ESC teachers for the 2012-2013 school year.

60% of the families in the District have now contributed, so if you are not among those who have contributed, please consider a contribution at this time.  Please ensure that all of our children receive the type of ESC program that they deserve.  Contribute what you can by our new deadline of May 7th, 2012 at www.delmarkids.org.

$160,000 STILL NEEDED TO MATCH LAST YEAR’S TOTAL!

 As of today, our total contributions from this year’s campaign sit at $1,122,046.  An additional $160,000 is still needed by May 7th to match last year’s total of $1.28 million.  If the gap is not closed further, we are looking at 1.75 fewer ESC teachers for the 2012-2013 school year.

The DMUSD Board of Trustees has granted a one-week extension to the DMSEF’s Annual Campaign. This means that we have seven more days to raise money that will fund next year’s ESC teachers.

As of today, we have received $1,050,000 from 55% of the families in the District. That equates to 2.5 fewer ESC teachers for the 2012-2013 school year.

Please help us ensure that all of our children receive the type of ESC program that they deserve. Contribute what you can by our new deadline of May 7th, 2012 at www.delmarkids.org.

 As of April 28th, 2012 the DMSEF’s Annual Campaign has raised $1,010,000, which means we are still 2.5 teachers short for next year’s ESC program, as compared to this year’s ESC teacher headcount.

 We have until April 30th, 2012, to raise an additional $270,000 so please contribute what you can today.  With over 4,000 families in our school district, we have to find a way to keep our ESC program intact.  While 55% of all families have contributed to this year’s campaign, we need 100% participation to reach our ultimate goal of providing a world-class education for all of our kids.

 NEW VIDEO SHOWCASING OUR ESC PROGRAM

 During the past month, a video, produced and fully-funded by The Pavilion at Del Mar, Trilogy Medias and Ardel Media Group, was created showcasing our District’s ESC Program.  Please take a few minutes to view the video now @ www.delmarkids.org.  This video spotlight is the reason why we all need to contribute to the DMSEF- so that this type of program can be sustained and flourish in our schools.

  HELP US KEEP ALL OF OUR ESC TEACHERS FOR NEXT YEAR!

 As of today, the DMSEF’s Annual Campaign has raised $985,000, which means we are still 3 teachers short for next year’s ESC program, as compared to this year’s ESC teacher headcount.

We have until April 30th, 2012, to raise an additional $400,000 so please contribute what you can.  With over 4,000 families in our school district, we have to find a way to keep our ESC program intact.

TRUTH: We hear countless reasons why parents do not contribute to the DMSEF but, in the end, ……

 NONE OF THEM MATTER ONE BIT!

Every one of us should be able to see past his or her own personal objections and realize that by not giving to the DMSEF we are only hurting our own children, and no one else.  You are not sending a message to the District, or to any one else for that matter, by not contributing to the DMSEF.  The only people you are sending a message to are your own children and the message is this:

“Your education just isn’t important enough for me to contribute any additional dollars toward it”.

We know that most people don’t really feel this way.  Please see past any objections that you are using as a reason not to contribute.  With everyone’s contribution, we can maintain our wonderful ESC program for all of our children to benefit from.  Please give what you can today.

As of today, we are facing a $450,000 gap as compared to last year’s campaign which will mean an average of one dropped ESC subject at each of our eight DMUSD elementary schools.

The problem is real and the time is now as our deadline for contributions is April 30th.

TRUTH: The DMSEF is a separate entity from the Del Mar Union School District and is set up that way so that all of its proceeds can go directly towards teacher salaries.  There is no chance that DMSEF funds can be used for anything else as they are given to the District in a ‘restricted’ fashion which only allows the District to use them for credentialed teachers.

 All funds contributed to the DMSEF directly fund teacher salaries across the five ESC subjects of Science, Music, Art, Technology, and Physical Education.  A portion of contributed funds is used to cover normal operating expenses that the Foundation incurs during its fund-raising, but even that portion of 7.5% is far below the national expense average for a non-profit which is about 11-13%.
